Environmental Education Coordinator
Job Summary:
This is highly responsible work in coordination, management, supervision, customer service, delivery and promotion of programs. This position is responsible for operation of the Georgia 4-H Environmental Education Program at Fortson 4-H Center. Some weekend work is required. It includes hiring seasonal environmental education program instructional staff, supervision of staff and daily operation of residential and day-use programs for school audiences in grades kindergarten through eight as well as some high school and adult groups. This position will be under the leadership of the State 4-H Environmental Education Coordinator as well as the Fortson 4-H Center Director, who serves as the direct supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of a Bachelor's degree.
No previous experience is required.
Bachelor's degree in any area of education, biological sciences, environmental education or related field; master's degree preferred. Experience in planning and coordinating youth education programs. Two years teaching experience in residential settings preferred. Must have a valid Driver's License. Experience in 4-H or Extension programs desirable.
Work Hours:
This is a salaried position, some nights and weekend work is required.
